Do you want to be able to offer sidemount diving to your students?


Service Description

Being able to offer this diverse configuration to both recreational and technial divers as it becomes more of a standard in the industry, is a great way to help keep your students progressing. The Sidmount Instuctor course is designed to train instructors to teach certified divers how to safely utilise side-mounted primary cylinders as an alternative to the traditional back-mounted configuration. "What you get from this course: This course is designed to train instructors to teach certified divers how to safely utilize side- mounted primary cylinders as an alternative to the traditional back-mounted configuration. Student Prerequisites 1. Certified as an SDI Open Water Instructor or equivalent 2. Certified as a TDI Sidemount Diver or equivalent Duration: 3-4 days Upon successful completion of the course, graduates may teach diving activities in a sidemount equipment configuration provided: 1. The diving activities approximate those of training 2. The areas of activities and environmental conditions approximate those of training Graduates who are also nitrox instructors may enrol in: 1. TDI Advanced Nitrox Instructor course 2. TDI Decompression Procedures Instructor course Equipment requirements: 1. Dual cylinders, volume appropriate for planned dive, and student gas consumption 2. Two independent first and second stage regulators each with a submersible pressure gauge 3. Buoyancy compensator device (BCD) with power inflator appropriate for sidemount configuration 4. Exposure suit adequate for diving environment 5. Mask and fins 6. Dive computer and a additional depth and timing device; backup computer recommended
