Sooner or later we will all be in a situation where we might need deal with an incident in the water. The Rescue Diver Course is designed to develop the knowledge and necessary skills to effectively perform diver rescues and assist and administer the necessary first aid in the event of an emergency. What you get from this course: The Rescue Diver Course is designed to develop the knowledge and necessary skills to effectively perform diver rescues and assist and administer the necessary first aid in the event of an emergency. Student Prerequisites 1. Minimum age 18, 10 with parental consent 2. Provide proof of current First Response Adult and Child Emergency Care Provider and Oxygen Administration Provider (where local law permits) certification or equivalent* 3. Provide proof of Advanced Adventure Diver certification, Junior Advanced Adventure certification, or equivalent, or open water diver certification and 15 logged open water dives 4. Divers under age 15 may earn the Junior Rescue Diver certification. Junior students are to train and dive under the direct supervision of a parent, guardian, or active dive professional *Note: First Response courses may be combined with the Rescue Diver course by qualified instructors Duration: 2 days Who is this for: This course is for any diver that wishes to expand their diving knowledge and skills. It is also for any diver that wants to be the best dive buddy they can be by being prepared for an emergency should it arise. Upon successful completion of this course, you: 1. Are able to conduct rescues for divers in distress 2. Are qualified to enrol in: a. The Master Diver Program b. The Divemaster Course Equipment requirements: - Basic open water scuba diving equipment, with an additional cutting device (2 in total) (Can be rented if you don't have your own) - Exposure Suit (Wetsuit or Drysuit) - Swimming costume - Towel - Water Bottle
