Service Description
The Nitrox Diver Course is an entry-level course for divers wishing to continue their diver education and utilise enriched air nitrox as a breathing gas to extend no-decompression limits at depth. What you get from this course: This is the entry level course for recreational divers wanting to utilize enriched air nitrox as a breathing gas. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for using nitrox mixes from 22 through 40 percent oxygen content. Student Prerequisites 1. Minimum age 18, 15 with parental consent 2. Have a minimum certification of open water diver or a current enrolment in an open water diver course Duration: 1 day Upon successful completion of this course: 1. Graduates may engage in diving activities utilizing a single gas of EAN-22 to EAN-40, and not requiring decompression, without direct supervision. The training program does not qualify divers to make dives which require mandatory in-water decompression stops or dives using more than one breathing gas and/or rebreathers. Graduates would be qualified to enrol in: 1. TDI Advanced Nitrox Course 2. TDI Decompression Procedures Course 3. TDI Semi-closed Rebreather Course Equipment requirements: - Basic open water scuba diving equipment (Nitrox ready) - Exposure suit (wetsuit or drysuit) - Nitrox cylinder (provided) - Nitrox Analyzer (provided) - Swimming costume - Towel - Water Bottle
