Do you struggle with air consumption during your dives This specialty is designed to increase a diver’s understanding of the factors that influence buoyancy, and to train the diver how to use the means available to them as methods for controlling their buoyancy. There are numerous added benefits to the marine and underwater environments by being in better control of your diving, which cannot be overstated; as well as a diver that has better control of themself in conjunction with their environment. What you get from this course: Introducing divers to the benefits of having better control over their buoyancy usually has a positive effect, this allows the diver to have greater enjoyment during their dives. This specialty is designed to increase a diver’s understanding of the factors that influence buoyancy, and to train the diver how to use the means available to them as methods for controlling their buoyancy. There are numerous added benefits to the marine and underwater environments by being in better control of your diving, which cannot be overstated; as well as a diver that has better control of themself in conjunction with his environment. Upon successful completion... Student Prerequisites 1. Minimum age 18, 10 with parental consent 2. Provide proof of current First Response Adult and Child Emergency Care Provider and Oxygen Administration Provider (where local law permits) certification or equivalent* 3. Provide proof of Advanced Adventure Diver certification, Junior Advanced Adventure certification, or equivalent, or open water diver certification and 15 logged open water dives 4. Divers under age 15 may earn the Junior Rescue Diver certification. Junior students are to train and dive under the direct supervision of a parent, guardian, or active dive professional *Note: First Response courses may be combined with the Rescue Diver course by qualified instructors Duration: 1 day (+ prior e-learning) The Advanced Buoyancy Diver certification counts towards a single specialty rating to achieve the SDI Advanced Diver Development program. Equipment requirements: - Basic open water scuba diving equipment (can be rented if you don’t have your own) - Exposure Suit (Wetsuit or Drysuit) - Swimming Costume - Towel - Water Bottle
