Boat diving happens every day around the world, but do you know all of the different procedures and expectations while diving from a boat? The Boat Diver Course covers the “how-to’s” of boat diving from how to board, proper boat etiquette, entry(s) and much more. The course will also introduce you to the various types of boats you may be diving from. What you get from this course: Scuba Diving from boats is an everyday occurrence. Whether on a private vessel or one of the many charter boats around the world. Most divers are not aware of the special procedures and etiquettes used when diving from a boat. This course will introduce you to the different types of boat diving and the skills needed to plan and conduct a boat dive with maximum safety. Student Prerequisites 1. SDI Open Water Scuba Diver, SDI Junior Open Water Scuba Diver, or equivalent, or current enrolment in one of those courses 2. Minimum age 18, 10 with parental consent Duration: 1 day Upon successful completion of this course, you may engage in diving activities without direct supervision of an Instructor so long as the following limits are adhered to: - The diving activities approximate those of training - The areas of activities approximate those of training - Environmental conditions approximate those of training Equipment requirements: - Basic open water scuba diving equipment (can be rented if you don’t have your own) - Exposure Suit (Wetsuit or Drysuit) - Swimming Costume - Towel - Water Bottle
